Oakland Raiders’ rookie punter A.J. Cole III was seen wearing a “Winnipeg, Alberta” T-shirt in a photo posted on the NFL team’s official Twitter account Wednesday. The Raiders are in Winnipeg, Man., to play an exhibition game Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers.
Many Winnipeggers, Manitobans, Albertans, and even popular Twitter accounts, were quick to react and poke fun at the fashion faux pas. Very quickly, #WinnipegAlberta started trending on Twitter.
Some people were straight up offended.
